Description:
This project involved infusing Augmented Reality into Technical Training to see if it improved the troubleshooting ability of technicians. I performed an entire research study and determined that one of the ways to engage students and help them perform better on the job was to use AR in training. First picture is the introduction of the training, second one is the equipment location and the third one is the Software I developed by using Adobe Aero to superimposed 3-D buttons onto a relay panel so technicians can click on them and learn about the electrical controls involved in each circuit. Audio is provided also. Refer to the Exhibition links to learn more.
Project timeframe one year and scope involved designing the computer based training courses and designing with AR software. The outcome of the project was that it was implemented into training for the maintenance department of a contract I had with a Transportation Vendor.
The significance of this project was that it included a revolutionary way of attacking troubleshooting.
